On the eve of the release of his new film Her staring Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson, Spike Jonze sits down with fellow director Nicole Holofcener for Interview Magazine.

The pair discuss his career from getting started in music videos through to directing Being John Malkovic; his propensity to check his phones for texts to see “is anybody thinking about me”, through to working with James Gandolfini in Enough Said, Holofcener’s latest film, and Gandolfini’s last before his passing away.
