A common interest of a love for all things Japanese unites the two; from the minimalist design approach, the selection and use of materials and the finite detail evident in Japanese aesthetic, all of which has combined to form the heart of their creative ambition for ni.ni creative.

‘‘We have always called on each other for inspiration or just to bounce creative ideas around which has inevitably led to the natural progression that we have formed ni.ni creative together all these years later!’’ says Nina.

As Neometro’s go-to stylist, Nina has been immersed in construction and architecture since she was three-years old, so it was a natural and inevitable progression to move into the design industry. Nick is a perfect compliment, coming from a background of Industrial Design, having launched himself internationally at the Milan Furniture Fair as part of The Melbourne Movement shortly after graduating from RMIT.

With all products both designed and made in Melbourne, the duo is proud to present their first products for the home: a range of cushions that represent ni.ni.creative’s core aesthetic of contemporary, tactile and timelessness. The Tab and Kumo cushions are made from a range of leathers and fabrics from Dutch and Danish companies, Febrik and Kvadrat and can be purchased here.
