Forgotten Monuments of Yugoslavia

Hidden in the back areas of the former Yugoslavia are incredible treasures – monuments that can only be described as huge, magnificent, and mind-stretching. Usually created of solid granite or stone, these behemoths are in the shapes of crystals, hands, fists, and other startling images.

Photographer Jan Kempenaers traveled off the beaten track to capture these curious and amazing structures, which he has now turned into a book entitled Spomenik, soon available through Amazon.
