Through tracing each designer’s process over 2015 until their piece is ready to be exhibited, Object Future III illustrates the developments of initial ideas, prototypes as well as the subsequent finished product.

Designers exhibiting in Object Future III include Hugh Altschwager, Amos Enders-Moje of Mo-En Design, Kate Stokes and Haslett Grounds of Coco Flip, Hamish Munro, Rosanna Ceravolo and Anna Varendorff.

Curated by Suzannah Henty and Dale Hardiman, Object Future III is the third exhibition over three years, originally initiated in response to a lack of inclusive design exhibitions in Australia. According to Henty, “The heart of the project is to support designed outcomes with intellectual foundations, and to launch a platform for emerging and establishing designers, designer makers and artists to create unique work for the exhibition”. The curators bring years of knowledge and experience to the exhibition; Henty has worked within a curatorial capacity at institutions such as the NGV and Ian Potter Museum of Art, and Hardiman is an award winning designer and sessional lecturer in Industrial Design at RMIT.

Linden New Art is at 26 Acland St, St Kilda
