Rapha Cycle Club Opens In Sydney

Arts & Events, Design - by Open Journal

Everybody’s favourite cycling apparel and lifestyle brand Rapha has just opened its first hub in Australia, the Rapha Cycle Club Sydney.

The Sydney Cycle Club is the brand’s fourth permanent Cycle Club worldwide, joining London, San Francisco and Osaka.

Designed by London interior and retail design studio Brinkworth, the 150sqm space on Crown Street, Surry Hills is much more than just a store –the clubs are designed to be a destination for road cyclists and a place for enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the sport.

Along with stocking the entire range of Rapha racewear and accessories, the space is home to a café and screening area, where it will hold live screenings of major road races from around the world. It will also be the starting point for rides hosted by Rapha, and is open from 6am for cyclists to meet for a pre or post morning ride hit of caffeine.

Danny Barnes, Cycle Club Sydney manager is quick to assert Rapha’s approach to the retailing.  “The one thing to convey is that the Cycle Clubs are not ‘shops’. Our primary focus and what drives us the most is to make Road Cycling the most popular sport in the world”.

The Cycle Club is open from 6am until 9pm weekdays, 8am to 9pm Saturdays and 8am to 6pm Sundays.
