The Quotable David Carr

Around the web - by Matthew

New York Times columnist and journalist David Carr, who wrote about media as it intersects with business, culture and government in his Media Equation, died in New York on Feb. 12, 2015. He was 58.

Often more quotable than the personalities he wrote about, Carr’s plainspoken style was sometimes blunt, and always searingly honest.

As part of their remembering of Carr’s legacy at the paper, The New York Times collected a series of Carr’s uniquely quotable stances on a variety of topics from the transparency of journalism to the future of print media to his infamous meeting with the founders of Vice.
